If you have filled out your application for admission you may be wondering "what's next?" First, make sure that you've submitted all required application materials along with your application for admission. After that, you can use the guidelines below to help you get started at Dixie.

    Scholarships: Utah residents are automatically considered for academic scholarships upon successful admission to the university. Non-resident students must submit an online scholarship application. Information and applications for non-residents and additional scholarships (talent, leadership, multi-cultural, etc.) can be found here.

  • Meet with an academic advisor who will help tailor your class schedule to your educational goals and make sure you're on track for graduation.

  • Upon being admitted, you will automatically be assigned a Dmail (Dixie Email) account. This serves as the official form of communication between you and Dixie State University. Your Dmail account information can be found in your acceptance letter. Check your Dmail regularly in order to stay on top of what is happening at Dixie State.

  • 7. Get Your I.D. Card

  • You can have your picture taken at the Registrar's Office for your I.D. card. Look for your Dixie One Card to arrive in the mail; this will be your student I.D. card. If you are unable to go to the Registrar’s Office, you can upload your picture at Please follow the guidelines for how your picture should look prior to uploading it.

  • 8. Buy Your Books

  • The Dixie State Bookstore makes available all class textbooks and will help you get the required educational supplies you need. You can also find DSU goodies, memorabilia, and more!

  • 9. Pay Your Tuition

  • Payment deadlines are critical. To avoid late fees and being removed from classes, tuition is due one week prior to the start of classes each semester. Please make all payment arrangements before the payment deadline. Also note, if you are receiving financial aid or scholarship assistance, you will need to make up any difference in tuition.

    You can pay your tuition online by logging into myDixie, or you can pay at the Cashier's Office.

  • 10. Get a Parking Permit

  • Parking permits may be purchased at the Security Office. You'll need to have your license plate number with you when purchasing a permit. During the first week of the semester, campus security has tables set up near the bookstore where you can also purchase a permit. You may also Purchase Permits and Pay Fines Online.
