Associate of Applied Science in Nursing - LPN-RN, Paramedic-RN

The Utah Tech University associate degree in nursing (AASN) program has two options: the licensed practical nurse (LPN) to RN bridge option and the Paramedic to RN bridge option. Each option offers a path toward an associate degree (AAS) and registered nursing licensure. Currently, 24 students are admitted each fall and spring semester.

Both the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AASN) degree and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree programs at Utah Tech University located in St. George, Utah are accredited by the: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

The most recent accreditation decision made in 2017 by the ACEN Board of Commissioners for the both the AASN and BSN programs is Continuing Accreditation.

Effective November 7, 2022, the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. This candidacy status expires on November 7, 2024.

NOTE: Upon granting of initial accreditation by the ACEN Board of Commissioners, the effective date of initial accreditation is the date on which the nursing program was approved by the ACEN as a candidate program that concluded in the Board of Commissioners granting initial accreditation.

The Utah Board of Nursing BON and the Utah Department of Commerce: Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing DOPL have approved UT’s nursing programs as required. Department of Commerce
