Faculty and Staff
The Dixie State University 108th Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 3, in Trailblazer Stadium on the DSU campus. The processional will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the ceremony will start immediately following the processional. There will be one ceremony combined with both baccalaureate and associate graduates.
Faculty and Staff Line-up and Seating
The Ceremony line-up will take place north of the Gardner Student Center. Please arrive to the line-up location at 7:30 a.m. All participants are required to wear their cap and gown. The Processional will begin at 8:00 a.m. A detailed line-up map will be posted at the bottom of this page. There will not be a rehearsal. Your seating in Trailblazer Stadium is reserved.
Gowns and Regalia
If you need to order your new “keeper or standard” caps, hoods and/or gowns. You can place your order by filling out the form HERE. Please order your items by the end of day on Friday, March 22, 2019. The university pays for the “keeper or standard” gown sets, as listed in the form. If you want to order specialty items (cap, gown, hood or tassels), faculty and staff are required to purchase these items. Please contact Sheila Cannon for details at email@example.com or 652-7739. You will receive an Email notification when orders arrive on campus. Please pick up your order prior to graduation at the North Plaza Building, Office #141, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 pm and 1:30 to 5:00 pm.
College Receptions and Award Ceremonies
The annual Dixie Awards Ceremony will be held Saturday, April 13, at 6:00 p.m. in the Eccles
Fine Arts Center Mainstage Theatre. This event honors Dixie State University graduates for
their contributions inside and outside of the classroom. Plan to attend this entertaining event. Light refreshments will be served.
Receptions for individual colleges will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019. During these receptions colleges will present their academic awards, meet with graduates and their families, and enjoy light refreshments following the ceremony as detailed below.

University Marshals play a significant role in the Commencement Ceremonies. As a Marshal you are responsible to lead the graduates from your college into the arena, and assist them as they graduate from Dixie State. If you have been selected as a marshal an informational meeting will be held on Thursday, May 2nd, to outline your responsibilities during commencement. More information will be sent prior to commencement.
