The Dixie State University Associate Graduate Commencement Ceremony will begin Friday, May 5 at 2 p.m. in the M. Anthony Burns Arena on the DSU campus.
Graduate Line-up and Seating
Baccalaureate graduates will assemble with their schools no later than 9:00 a.m., north of the Gardner Student Center. All participants are required to wear the cap and gown. Tassels should be worn on the right side and will be moved to the left upon graduation. The Processional will begin at 9:30 a.m. A detailed line-up map according to your school will be posted at the bottom of this page. There will not be a rehearsal. Your seating in the Burns Arena is reserved.
Associate graduates will assemble with their schools no later than 1:10 p.m., north of the Gardner Student Center. All participants are required to wear the cap and gown. Tassels should be worn on the right side and will be moved to the left upon graduation. The Processional will begin at 1:40 p.m. A detailed line-up map will be posted at the bottom of this page. There will not be a rehearsal. Your seating in the Burns Arena is reserved.
Graduate Seating Accommodation for Students and Guests with Disabilities
Graduates and guests with disabilities attending Commencement can request accommodations through the Disability Resource Center by phone at 435-652-7516 (voice). Please give us reasonable prior notice to arrange the specific accommodations you may need. Reserved seating will be available in the first three rows of section 102 for the hearing impaired. American Sign Language Interpreters will be available upon request.
All graduating students should attend the Grad Fair where they will receive their cap and gown, honors stole and cord, graduation announcements, gifts, food, have the opportunity to purchase DSU memorabilia and join the DSU Alumni Association. The Grad Fair will be held at the Stephen & Marcia Wade Alumni House (across from the Hansen Stadium).

You will receive five free graduation announcements. Announcements will be available for pick up after March 15th at the DSU Campus Store. Additional announcements may be purchased at a cost of $1.00 each. You may also pick up your five free announcements at the Grad Fair (while supplies last).

Graduates will receive their diploma cover at the Commencement Ceremony. Your diploma will be mailed after final grades are posted, reviewed and requirements are verified as completed. Diplomas will be mailed within 6 weeks of graduation to the address indicated on your application. Graduates may change their diploma mailing address by contacting the graduation office at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please give at least two weeks advance notice of an address change.
Honors regalia will be available for pick-up during the Grad Fair. Spring 2017 honors graduates are recognized based on their Fall 2016 GPA. Summer graduates are not eligible for honors until 2018 Commencement. Your transcript will reflect any honors you have earned based on your final GPA at graduation. The annual Dixie Awards Ceremony will be held Thursday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m., in the Eccles Fine Arts Center Main stage Theatre. This event honors Dixie State University graduates for their contributions inside and outside of the classroom.
