The Dixie Commercialization Fund unites investors and entrepreneurs together in one of the nation’s hottest economic climates — the City of St. George in Washington County, Utah. St. George is the fastest growing metropolitan city in the United States and is ranked one of the best small places for business and careers, happiest cities for job-seeking college graduates, and best places to live in the nation. Dixie State University (DSU) in St. George, is the fastest growing institution in Utah, and is home to Innovation Plaza, which houses the Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, St. George Economic Development office, St. George Small Business Development Center, and Dixie Commercialization Fund. Innovation Plaza assists students and community members in securing patents and has assisted hundreds of entrepreneurs since its inception in 2016. The Dixie Commercialization Fund then assists entrepreneurs in commercializing their patents. The Dixie Commercialization Fund has $1 million in seed money and is actively seeking new investors, aiming to grow the fund to $100 million as individuals and institutions invest in Washington County entrepreneurs.
