Why is DSU adopting a polytechnic focus?
The applied learning, career-focused, collaborative education of a polytechnic model has been successfully adopted by many top-tier schools including but not limited to Oregon Institute of Technology, Florida Tech, Georgia Tech, MIT, and Virginia Tech. A polytechnic institute in St. George, Utah, is a critical step in providing the high-level, hands-on training necessary to prepare the workforce vital for our state and region.
